Duchenne Boys

In response to many requests, a repeact screening of this award winning documentary. Duchenne Boys follows its creator, Sohrab Kavir, as he battles survivor’s guilt after the deaths of three of his brothers, and returns to Iran from the UK. Once there he embarks on forming a virtual football team made up of young sufferers of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the same disease that took his brother’s lives. Q&A with Sohrab after the film.

Joe Magee and Tom Jacob are both Stroud-based filmmakers. Tom is also a composer and sound designer. He recently re-scored Joe’s short film, No Sherbet (Keith Allen, Sean Gleeson), and providing a sound design for Joe’s most recent short, Jackpot.
