SCREENING OF TWO DOCUMENTARIES WITH Q&A AND FOOD
Come and experience how a community tells its own stories and history. Unreflected Reflections was initially founded to capture stories and share the history of the Muslim community in Gloucester through creative means. “We are excited to bring to the Stroud Film festival our first film and new documentary.
GLOUCESTER’S GLORY –
Our initial film capturing stories and experiences of the local community.
PIONEERING GLIMPSES –
The new film is very much focussed on the early community that came to Gloucester around the 1950’s onwards.
These films and their stories bring to life the early experiences and highlight the activities of the Muslim community. The stories are told by the community itself. The films will be introduced by the producer, Ismail followed by a Q&A panel with guest speakers from the film. Event includes food facilitated by the Friendship Cafe in Gloucester. You can also join the linked cooking workshop with the Friendship Cafe the following day.
Doors open at 4pm and screening starts at 4:30pm. Please book beforehand as it makes it easier to plan food.
