What’s New for SFF 2024
This year it’s the 10th Stroud Film Festival with the widest ranging programme yet: 50 screening events and 10 workshops at 12 venues across Stroud.
Film is powerful, it can raise important questions of our time, challenge our thinking and open space for discussion. Film also offers a chance to escape to other worlds while this year there’s a chance to make, as well as watch films.
Since the last festival in March 2023, SFF has become a community interest company with a team of seven directors, all local and involved in previous years. This new team values your feedback more than ever as it will shape the future of the festival.
To make the festival as affordable as possible, lots of events have tickets priced at three levels; £8 Pay it Forward, £6 Standard and £4 Low Income.
We’re hugely appreciative of the work of all the partner venues and the support from Ecotricity, Winstones Ice Cream and Darbyshire Ltd. As a result ticket prices for workshops are kept to a minimum and there’s a new social media internships scheme. Funding from the British Film Institute through the Film Audience Network and Spotlight is much appreciated.
Enjoy this year’s festival!
