Beyond Solastalgia - Reimagining the Future will look at how we need to use our imagination to create a positive, sustainable future to combat Climate Change & to cope from the upset of Solastalgia. Solastalgia, defined by Professor Glen Albrecht as a form of mental or existential distress caused by environmental change.
Featuring interviews with Jonathon Porritt, Rob Hopkins, Scilla Elworthy, Polly Higgins, Satish Kumar, Charles Eisenstein, Caroline Lucas, Tim Smit, Bruce Parry, Fiona Reynolds & Kate Raworth.
We will examine the causes and possible solutions to Climate Change. Particularly the importance of local communities coming together - showing how in Stroud, grassroots groups have played a significant part in community engagement and support.
We will look at new economic thinking, energy solutions, waste management and the importance of well being for positive change.
The film, directed by Peter Moseley, is a tribute to Polly Higgins, an inspiration to many in the environmental movement and the Stroud community.
